Everything you should know about Mole removal.

Moles are common skin growths on your body, you may have more than one in your face and body.


Most are harmless and nothing to worry about unless it is cancerous you don't have to have them removed unless it bothers you,


The main symptoms of melanoma (skin cancer )
1 Moles with an uneven shape or edges as normal moles are round and smooth edges.
2 Normal moles are usually one colour.
3 Normal moles are usually small., Melanomas tend to be bigger often more than 6km wide.
4 normal moles usually do not change over time.
5 A mole that changes and signs to look on for

  • Swollen and sore
  • Bleeding
  • Itching
  • Crusty

At Shamrock Clinic  we have two main types of procedures for Mole removal:

Freezing (cryotherapy)
This procedure uses a small amount of liquid nitrogen to remove a non-cancerous mole.

Burning (cauterizing)
This procedure uses an electric current to burn off the upper layers of the non-cancerous mole.

A consultation is required to discuss options. The costs start at £ 100 per treatment.
