Our eyes are the windows to the soul!

Are you fed up of using eye liner pencil, which doesn’t last longer than lunchtime without a reapplication, often smudges, and costs you a fortune throughout the year as you fork out for yet another one from your favourite beauty counter?! Well, let us tell you about eye liner tattooing and how it works – there’s really no need to be scared ladies as the results are amazing!

Tell me more about eyeliner tattooing.

Put it this way, it’s going to save you a lot of time each day as you’ll stop having to draw on your face every morning for starters! Eyeliner micropigmentation can dramatically define your eyes to create a look that is both beautiful and long-lasting and works in perfect unison with balanced eyebrows too.

So, what’s involved?

At Shamrock Clinic, we’ll ask you about the result you’ve been dreaming of; be it a subtle or more dramatic effective and will then place colour into the dermal layer of the eyelids, where you would ordinarily use an eye pencil. The procedure will take approximately 45 mins to an hour depending on the client, and you’ll need another session for any touching up.

What to do after treatment.

We recommend not to put on make-up for the first few days and to throw away any existing eye pencils as you simply won’t need them! It’s also best to avoid getting your eyes wet by going swimming – no steam rooms or spa plunge pools please! As with any treatment, you’ll need a little healing time while the skin adjusts to the treatment, plus you’ll want your newly-created ‘never going to rub off’ eye liner to remain in tip top shape!

So, get in touch with Ann at Shamrock Clinic today for your eye liner tattoo – SEEING is believing!

Difference between Skin Boosters and Derma Fillers

What are the main difference between skin boosters and derma fillers? Whilst both containing hyaluronic acid (HA) as the main ingredient, they are not interchanged when it comes to offering skin ageing treatments, they behave in a different way.  Skin boosters are not cross-linked so they are usually much thinner in consistency and have a greater spread. Generally, skin boosters can soften fine lines, hydrate and improve the texture and condition of the skin.  On the other hand, dermal fillers are generally used when voluminsation, contouring, or augmentation is required in specific areas of the face such as cheeks with a line, chin or lips.
