LADIES: You’ll be CRY-ing out for this new treatment!

We are VERY excited to announce that Shamrock Clinic will be offering CryoPen treatments from October – a state of the art treatment which uses extreme cold, or cryotherapy to painlessly remove unwanted skin tags, milia, age spots, warts, verrucae and cherry angiomas. Sound too good to be true? Well, read on!

So, what is this new miracle wonder?

CryoPen is an advanced cryotherapy innovation that is fast, effective, safe and offers a brand-new solution for the removal of those skin imperfections we hate. This incredible treatment, devised by Belgium experts, provides four main benefits for clients, which include:
  • A lot less time – treatment sessions can last less than a couple of minutes!
  • It can treat virtually any benign skin lesion
  • It is one of the least invasive skin treatments currently on the market
  • No anaesthetic is required as it is virtually painless!
How it works – the FTF effect!

Procedures typically last from 5 to 25 seconds, so you can be in and out of the clinic in no time at all! The CryoPen emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, which allows Shamrock Clinic expert, Ann Gibbons, to work with millimetre precision. The nitrous oxide then destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. In simple terms, this means there will be no damage to healthy tissue as it’s so incredibly accurate.

FREEZE (1st cycle).

The applicator is held as close as possible to the skin imperfection and moved quickly towards and away from it. This could be from 1-30 seconds, depending on the size and depth.

THAW.

After the first freeze cycle, the tissue is allowed to thaw for about 30 seconds.

FREEZE (2nd cycle).

Now the second freeze cycle will begin. The tissue will freeze faster than during the first freezing cycle.
